Who operates this website

QuizYourCareer is operated by the QuizYourCareer Team. For questions about this website or your privacy, contact us at contact@quizyourcareer.com.

Your answers and results

Your test answers and results stay in your browser tab's memory. QuizYourCareer does not upload, collect, or store them on a server. Refreshing or closing the tab clears your answers. Comparison files are generated on your device.

Personal information

The test does not ask for or collect personal information. It has no accounts, registration forms, analytics, or tracking cookies. If you choose to email us, your email provider sends your email address and message to the contact mailbox. Do not send sensitive personal information or your test answers.

Cookies and your choices

This version does not enable optional cookies, advertising, or analytics services. The cookie banner lets you record Accept or Decline; neither choice enables tracking in this version. The career test works the same with either choice.

We store only your choice, the notice version, and the time of your choice in your browser's localStorage under qyc-cookie-consent. This preference stays on your device and is not sent to us. It remains until you change it, clear site data, or we update the notice version. We use it only to remember your choice, including Decline, without repeatedly showing the banner.

Select Cookie settings at any time to change your choice or withdraw an earlier acceptance by selecting Decline. If your browser blocks storage, we can apply your choice for this page but cannot remember it for later visits. Closing the banner by navigating away does not count as acceptance.

If we introduce optional services, we will first name their providers, purposes, data, and retention periods, update this notice, and ask for fresh consent before enabling them. A choice saved for this version is not consent to future services.

Contact emails and legal basis

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use this information to answer your enquiry and handle related follow-up. Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for responding to correspondence and operating and securing this website is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable service and responding to people who contact us. Optional tracking services, if introduced, will require a separate, informed choice before they are enabled.

Emails sent to contact@quizyourcareer.com are handled by the QuizYourCareer Team to respond to enquiries and manage related follow-up. Please do not send sensitive personal information or your test answers. The preference stored by the cookie banner is not an email subscription and does not authorise marketing messages.

How long information is kept

Test answers and results exist only in the current browser tab and disappear when it is refreshed or closed. Downloaded comparison files remain on your device until you delete them. Cookie preferences remain as described above. Contact correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond and handle related follow-up, resolve a dispute, or meet applicable legal obligations; it can be reviewed in response to a deletion request. Service providers may keep technical records according to their own service and legal requirements.

Hosting

Serving a website involves technical connection information such as IP addresses and request details. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site and may process this information to deliver and secure it. Its infrastructure may process technical data in countries outside your country of residence. Provider details are available in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. This is separate from test answers and results, which are not transmitted.

Third-party advertising and affiliate links

We plan to display third-party advertisements and affiliate links on QuizYourCareer. This version does not load advertising services or include affiliate links. When we add them, paid placements and affiliate links will be clearly labelled. We may earn a commission when you make a qualifying purchase through an affiliate link. The career test and comparison downloads remain free to use.

Following an affiliate link may take you through an advertising network to the advertiser's website. Those third parties may process connection information, click identifiers, and cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. If advertising services are loaded on this site, providers may process device information, IP addresses, and cookies or similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads, depending on their settings and your choices.

Before enabling advertising, we will update this policy with the providers, the data they process, and any applicable consent and privacy controls. We will not send your test answers or results to advertising providers.

External links

Source links open third-party websites only when you choose to visit them. Those websites have their own privacy policies. Your test answers are not included in the links.

Your privacy rights

Where applicable data protection law provides these rights, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold, restriction of processing, or a portable copy, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw a cookie choice through Cookie settings at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the applicable law.

To make a request, contact the email address below. We may need information sufficient to verify the request, but please do not send identity documents unless specifically necessary. We cannot retrieve test answers or results from our server because they are not uploaded. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country if applicable. We do not use test results to make decisions about employment, education, or other eligibility.

Contact and changes

Privacy questions can be addressed to contact@quizyourcareer.com. We will update the date on this page when this policy changes.
